In February 2019, Bandai Namco announced via the Japanese Tales account that Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition shipments accept surpassed 500,000 units worldwide.[90] Combined, all versions of the game have collectively sold a total of over 1,580,193 units worldwide.[a]
Media adaptations [edit]
In October 2009, an anime film titled Tales of Vesperia: The Showtime Strike was released in Japanese cinemas, roughly congruent with the release of the PS3 version of the game. The anime is prequel to the game showing Yuri Lowell'southward fourth dimension equally an Imperial Knight. It was released as a Blu-ray/DVD packet in Japan with downloadable content for the PS3 version in May 2010. The game was too released in Japan on Universal Media Disc.[91] [92] [93] An English language localization of the anime was released on Blu-ray and DVD in 2012.[94] Speaking in 2009 after the theatrical release of The First Strike, Makoto Yoshizumi, the publishing general director for Namco Bandai, said that there was a possibility of sequels to both Tales of Vesperia and The Get-go Strike, but equally nonetheless cipher has materialized.[95]
Tales of Vesperia spawned five manga adaptations: one particularly produced album collection, i traditional adaptation, i yonkoma titled Tales of Vesperia Four Panels Kings,[Jp. iii] an adaptation of the last segment of the game titled Tales of Vesperia: Trajectory of Venus,[Jp. 4] and an adaptation of The First Strike. Ichijinsha was the publisher for all but Trajectory of Venus, which was published by ASCII Media Works.[96] Three novel adaptations accept likewise been made: a 4-part novelization of the game, a four-part serial focusing on Raven titled Tales of Vesperia: Mask of the Void,[Jp. 5] and a two-office series focusing on Judith titled Tales of Vesperia: Silence of the Errand Dragon.[Jp. 6] [96] An episodic audio novel accommodation post-obit Yuri and Flynn'due south childhood, Tales of Vesperia: Genealogy of the Condemned, began release on Android and iOS in April 2014.[97] Multiple CD dramas have too been produced: these include an audio accommodation of Vesperia, comic dramas focused effectually Brave Vesperia, a prequel to Mask of the Void, and a prequel to The First Strike.[98]
